Brandywine New Media is pleased to announce the newest addition to its stable of affinity Web sites, Flushing University, a site dedicated to the New York Mets.

"Having run a couple of baseball sites, I know the passion fans have for the game," said BNM CEO Mike McGann. "Unfortunately, there was no intelligent, fun site out there, as we see in other cities, for Mets' fans. I thought this was a great opportunity to fill a breech in the marketplace and continue to grow our business."

McGann, the former editor of Gotham Baseball magazine, admits this site is one he has a personal interest in.

"Regardless of the propaganda put out by the NFL, baseball remains the real American pasttime and a subject that people love to talk about," McGann said. "And Mets' fans, for some reason, have been among the most aggressive in getting on the 'Net, which makes it all the more puzzling that no single site has become the kind of success we've seen in other markets."
